I am an upbeat, happy CNA of 14 years. I have worked everywhere from in my clients homes to hospital to long term care facilities. I have experience with hoyer lifts, sit to stands and hands on transfers. I have worked with many people with dementia and Alzheimers and I have about a years experience working with the mentally disabled. I think the best qualities a care giver can have is being dependable, compassionate, personable, and trustworthy. These are all qualities I would want someone to have for not only my love one , but me as well. What I love most about being a care giver is helping others. Being able to help someone with their daily duties gives me satisfaction and i understand my purpose in life is to help others.

I became a caregiver because I like helping people. I like being a caregiver because I get to help someone get back on their feet. My personal achievement is I was able to attend college while taking care of my kids and I only have 12 credits left to go.

I became a caregiver because I want to help those that are sick and cannot do for them selves I like being a caregiver because it helps others see that there are people out there that cares about them and is willing to take time from their daily lives and go out of their way to make them smile.
