I BECAME A CAREGIVER, PROFESSIONALLY, AFTER TAKING CARE OF BOTH MY PARENTS , MY DEAR SISTER, AND MY HUSBAND, WHO WERE ALL TERMINALLY ILL AND ON HOSPICE FOR MANY MONTHS EACH. EVEN AS A CHILD I TOOK CARE OF ALL MY DOZENS OF COUSINS AS BABIES, EVERY CHANCE I GOT. CARING FOR OTHERS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY PASSION IN LIFE. I AM COMPASSIONATE AND CARE FOR OTHERS AS I WOULD WANT MY FAMILY MEMBERS TO BE CARED FOR. QUALITY OF LIFE IS SO IMPORTANT. MY COMPASSION FOR MAKING SURE THAT EACH PERSON RECEIVE QUALITY CARE, NO MATTER THE NEED, IS MY HAPPINESS AS A CAREGIVER. AND BY THE WAY, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I LOVE ANIMALS. ALSO, I RESPECT THE FACT THAT SOME FOLKS SMOKE. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER SMOKED MYSELF, MY COMPASSIONATE NATURE ALLOWS ME TO BE CONSIDERATE AND UNDERSTANDING OF MY PATIENTS WISHES. ONE MORE THING. ...I HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR, AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, WHICH I FEEL, IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GETS US THROUGH LIFE OPTIMISTICALLY!! .

The thing that has attracted me most to be a caregiver is, not very many people out in the world have the heart to assist our seniors. It takes a big and patient heart to care for our seniors. I have the big and patient heart. What I feel makes me a great caregiver is being there and engaging in conversation. I love listening to stories that they love to tell even if it is the same on over and over, just because I know it makes them feel good that what they have to say is being acknowledged.

I have always been a caregiver naturally. I love helping others and find it very rewarding. I have worked as a CNA in the past and enjoyed it very much. My daughter became sick and I needed to work from home for awhile and started a daycare for income. Since moving to Hawaii I would like to move forward with my ultimate goal which is to return to school to complete my training to become a Registered Nurse. My CNA license is expired but I will be renewing it this summer. I really look forward to meeting new people and continuing my caregiving career. For fun I love to write poetry and short stories and do anything outdoors. Crafting comes naturally to me and I love learning DIY projects.

I have 8 years of experience. I am sweet, loving, & outgoing. I am a people person, love to help others, & take pride in doing so. I believe this is my calling! I have had the pleasure of working with clients of all sorts. I've worked with elderly mentally challenged, Alzheimer's, dementia patients, & Tourette's syndrome elderly. I love what I do, & make it my duty to provide the best care for each & everyone of my clients based off of the individuals case & needs!

I'm a 27 year old young lady who love what I do. I love helping people rather their older or young I have a really big heart I treat everyone as if their family. Working with my great grandmother once she started to decline was one of the main reasons I wanted to become a caregiver also my mom have been I. The medical field for over 20 years so I followed her foot steps. I love making people happy one of my main goals of being a caregiver. I'm currently in school for nursing which has been an accomplishment so far.

I became a Caregiver because I care for people and want to help them. I saw the need of caregivers when my parents became older. They were independent but still needed some additional care which I was able to give them. Because of this I decided to pursue a career in Caregiving. I have been a Caregiver over 5 years now and have met many nice people and have had the pleasure of taking care of them. I love being a Caregiver because I feel like I am helping someone. This help may be as little as sitting and listening to them or cooking, sorting their meds, etc. Just helping them through their day! I feel I go above and beyond the call of duty. I am very dependable and trustworthy. People always tell me I have such a happy disposition and it's true. I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face ready for the day. The clients I have and have had say I bring joy to their home and appreciate my work ethic. A little something about me: I was born and raised in the Houston area. I have two grown daughters and two grandsons that I am very close to. My dad passed away in March 2013 but I still have my mom and a sister. We all enjoy having family time. I love teapots and have a collection of them. I LOVE to cook and it is my passion. I get compliments all the time and am always trying new recipes. I would love to be able to take care of your loved ones and look forward to hearing from you.

I became a caregiver at a young age around 15/16 taking care of my grandmother, professionally i started at 18 off and on. My last client, i was with for five years and he became my best friend. I became his right hand and his go to, i would say we ended up like family. I became a caregiver mainly because i never wanted someone to be alone at their time of need and to help with the stress levels family feel from taking care of their loved one. Its honestly the one thing i know i am good at. From organizing schedules to just keeping someone comfortable in their own home. I love learning peoples past how they became who they are now.
