I'm the type of person that's very personable I love people and I love helping others. I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person. I love to make others laugh and smile, I've been called an angel by some. I have an 88 year old mother so dealing with the elderly is something that I have mastered by experience. Also I'm a CNA

I have always had an outstanding drive to help others. I started doing care giving as an "in" for the healthcare field and to be able to love my job. My first care giving experience was In-Home care. It brought a whole new light to my eyes. You never really realize how many people are struggling on a daily basis and who want to enjoy their life but, may be hindered by disabilities from accomplishing their personal goals and dreams. I love my field of work because i get to go home everyday feeling accomplished knowing i helped someone achieve something they may or may not have been able to do easily on their own. I love people and puzzles, both are perfect for assisting others. Sometimes you have to find a solution to the situation and thinking outside the box is my specialty. A personal achievement i'm proud of is having training and certifications that furthered my knowledge in the healthcare field. Certifications: -Basic CPR/First Aide -BLS Healthcare Provider CPR/AED/First Aid Come January,2018 I start my next program for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. I plan to work my way up the latter and eventually find my "niche" in the healthcare and medical field.

I have 8 years of management skills principles in the healthcare field such as project coordinator I have experience in behavior transitional exitional homes. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the daily activities by helping the client reach their daily goals short term or long term goals. Or simply just being able to put a smile on their face. I became a caregiver to help with my father with his heart condition. I continued in the field after his passing. I have been a caregiver for many different types of people. from children and adults with MR/DD, elderly in nursing and private homes. worked in hospice situation. I am a cna ,ma, and a phlebotomist. I have managed home for independant living. I believe anyone that works with another human being, gets a great deal of satisfaction helping them to reach their potential.

My name is Eugene Vazquez and I have been a Direct Support Professional for over 2 years. I have given professional support to special needs adults with physical and mental disabilities. I care deeply for those who are in need and work to give them a higher quality of life. I enjoy getting to know my clients personally so I can support them on an emotional level as well. As a member of a Day Program for special needs adults, I know the importance of staying active and being a part of the community. With my clients, I encourage games that stimulate the mind and exercises that help improve range of motion. I have worked with seniors and know the level of care and supervision they require to be safe during daily activities. I have experience using a Hoyer Lift to safely transfer clients from bed to wheelchair. When assisting with medication I take it very seriously, paying attention to the right person, drug, time, dose, route and documentation. If there ever is an emergency I know CPR/ First Aid/ AED and how to react in case of an earthquake or fire. The client you put in my care will feel safe and supported. What makes me a great caregiver is I have always had an open heart to ones in need. I had many family members that had to be taken care of since I was young. I had always wanted to be a nurse and still hope to become one one day. I have taken care of the mentally handicap and have been off n on taking care of my grandmother who has been fighting Alzheimer's and dementia for over 7 years now. She has been the main reason why I have learned and wanted to become a nurse and made me the person I am now.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others and being able to make them smile knowing they have someone there to help. I took care of a special lady who meant the world to me for 4 years we had a great bond and I was there whenever she needed me. I have experience of many years of caring. I have 2 kids of my own , so I am excellent with children and babies and I always treat them like they are my own.
