Hi, My name is Tina. I have been a caregiver since 2013 on and off. I am available anytime but I do not do live in or overnights. I have a lot of Patience and I have been told by clients that I have helped out that I am dependable, caring, warm heart, and just by overall a sweet heart. I care for my patients as they were my own family members. I have also taken care of my Grandmother and grand father who both passed away from blindness, diabetes etc. I am mother of two kids, who loves art, nature and music. I am registered with the state of California as a caregiver

I am a great caregiver because I already have experience. I have volunteered at Sentara Leigh and done hands on during clinicals at nursing facilities throughout my last three years of school. I became a caregiver because I love to help those in need and give back to the community. The thing I like most about being a caregiver is helping the elderly get around make them smile and feel comfortable no matter what illness they may have. I'm proud that I have been to school for CNA,PCA, and medical assisting. They all have taught so many basic skills to help with providing care to individuals in my community. I love exercising, walking my dogs, spending time with family/friends, vacationing and working with others. I'm very responsible and helpful. I would love to be a caregiver to someone special.

What makes me a good caregiver is the face that I'm very selfless. All I want in life is to have the chance to bring others happiness to bring a smile upon their face.

I became a caregiver because my Grandmother Had a stroke and I had to learn how to are for her. I enjoyed the experience and feeling of taking care of my grandmother and my kids. The feeling you get to engage with a person and seeing how much they need you as well as the customers who come into my previous job as well as my current job made me realizes how much of a bond and a people person I am and the connection I have with kids and people is what made me go into this field.

Hello my name is Kiana Lawrence and I am going to start off by telling you a little bit about myself. I am currently a student at Grossmont Community College and my major is nursing. I am very friendly, caring, helpful, family-orientated, organized, sociable and dependent. Care-giving became my biggest inspiration in so many ways. I started off by taking care of my grandparents who were both diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My duties included things to assist them physically, mentally, and so much more. Not only did I enjoy their amazing stories and company but I enjoyed being in the position of being able to help others in need. I noticed as I got older my love for caring for the elderly has grown so much. I work very well under pressure and can always accommodate ones needs and I feel like that is why care-giving is perfect for me :).

I became a caregiver because i love and enjoy being able to help others. What i like about being a caregiver is making somebody's day. Also knowing that someone is depending on me brings me a sense of joy. A personal achievement that i'm proud of is getting an award for being a compassionate and passionate caregiver at my previous job.

I became a care giver because it's a great feeling to help people and see how happy they are to know that someone cares. The ability to help people and make a change in their life. Working hard in receiving my CNA certification, and getting myself back in school to further my education. I'm someone who deeply care about my work and I do it with pride.

I love helping people. I have been a caregiver years ago and just seeing the joy in a clients eyes when you show up just makes my heart happy.

I became a caregiver at the early age of 18. Not knowing that I would love and care for people so much. I worked as a caregiver for the past 6 years since 2008. One thing I love about being a caregiver is the satisfaction of making someone's life easier.

My first experience as a caregiver was working in a group home for individuals who have developmental disabilities. I worked in two different group home settings. One home was all male and the other was primarily female. I gained experience working with clients in wheelchairs; who had dementia, seizures, ostomy bags, 02 machines, CPAP machines; who needed ADL assistance, feeding assistance, bed pan usage, etc. I enjoyed my work because it didn't feel like I was working. In between doing the tasks that were needed of me, I enjoyed my client's company and engaged them in activities to help enrich their lives. When I moved to St. Louis I worked as a Home Health Aid and worked with clients who had Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's, in hospice, multiple sclerosis, etc. I worked in client's homes and sometimes alongside other caregivers to help provide the best care possible. I am currently Adult CPR and First Aid certified, I was a certified Med tech in both NJ and MO state so I have some knowledge of medications. I hold a BA in Psychology and am trained in behavioral management techniques. I just like giving back. I used to work retail, but never enjoyed my jobs because I never felt like they were jobs that really made a difference. I got my degree in Psychology in hopes to work with people who need someone to be there for them. I enjoy knowing that I can put a smile on someone's face.

Being a caregiver is very rewarding, when the client tells you, that you are a wonderful caregiver.I enjoy being a caregiver people depend on me being my best to help them, making sure there needs are taken care of. After being a caregiver I achieve getting my CNA license, to give higher better care in the medical field, being the best person I can be for others. I am a mother of three adult kids, my daughter and two boys, raising them on my own. I recently did get married in 2012, other jobs I have worked did not feel much of achievement from, being a CNA I feel I have achieved much more with my clients.I have thought about the medical field for a long time, I am now proud to be a part of the medical field in helping others.
