Care and Companion for two young adult daughters
My daughters, two young adult women, ages 21 and 24, who have chronic illnesses and cognitive fog leading to disabilities and personal care needs, need caregiving. Their illnesses include drop spells, difficulty walking, fatigue, and pain. And they are both interested in experiencing life as they can, working on crafts, finding ways to engage in community, and get some time in nature.
As a companion, you would provide rides, work on projects together, be a functioning pair of hands and body to clean a space, lift objects, collect needed items. As a care giver, you would prep and provide meals, assist with PT exercises, drive to and from appointments, house keeping, errands.
Hours have flexibility, needed between the hours of 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm, mostly on weekdays, and options for a weekend day. Up to 30 hours available, in blocks of 4-5 hours in a day. The best characteristics for this work are being able to gently guide a routine, organized, attentive to non-verbal communication, being a calm presence, and having patience in accomplishing tasks. Big plus if you like to bake. CNA experience not required. Pets in the house are a cat and two snakes. Non-smoker please.
