In search of a patient and honest caregiver to take care of Mother, located near Fairfax, VA. I am in need of assistance Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, and Thursday afternoon. Caregiver should be able to start November 20, 2026 and is expected to work a couple hours hours per week. The activities of daily living performed by the caregiver will include . We are looking for a dependable, patient, and compassionate caregiver to provide companionship and daytime support for our 76-year-old mother, who has Alzheimer’s. Schedule: 3–4 weekdays per week, mornings and/or afternoons, approximately 12–20 hours per week. We are flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works for everyone. Start date: Late November 2026, but can be flexible Primary responsibilities: * Providing companionship and helping our mother feel comfortable, safe, and supported * Keeping her engaged and active through activities she enjoys, such as dancing, walking outdoors, watching favorite movies and videos, and helping with simple cooking tasks * Offering gentle encouragement and company throughout the day, while respecting her need for rest * Assisting with simple meal preparation and light housekeeping as needed We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with older adults, is patient and attentive, and understands the importance of companionship and meaningful engagement for someone living with Alzheimer’s. Experience with dementia care is a plus. Familiarity with Tagalog or a willingness to learn a few common phrases is also a plus; fluency is not required. My husband works from home, and I work from home about half the week, but we need someone who can provide dedicated companionship and support for our mother during working hours.
