Need a dedicated caregiver for a client in Murphysboro, IL to help care for our Mother. (Hx of COPD, CHF, DM2, Bilateral Knee rplcmnt/1 Hip) This will be the beginning of in home care and are trying to introduce the idea to her as a way for her to remain in her home and independent. This may start slowly as little as 2-3 days per week for 3-5 hrs per day and over time may grow to more frequent visits or more than one caregiver. Client does not need 24/7 care but the family wants to make sure someone checks in daily between family and hired caregivers. Visits to start soon, but depending on availability of the right caregiver and the right fit, more than a specific date. Immediate duties will include laundry assistance, dressing assistance, transferring/mobility, meal prep/planning/grocery pickup(prepaid), and some housekeeping. Future duties may include some bathing, toileting, possible transport to medical appointments using clients vehicle. Client lives with her GrandDaughter who has 2 very friendly dogs in the home when she is there, occasionally when she is not. Client prefers to sleep late so no early mornings, but something around lunch, and likely gone before dinner. Starting out to get her used to the idea of help in the home to maintain her independence, and will likely grow to more frequent visits, or a second provider. Family goal is to eventually have someone (or combination of persons) outside the family check in 6 days a week for a few hours per day.
