Hi, I’m looking for a reliable caregiver/companion to provide in-home support for my mother in Kershaw County - Lake Wateree She has ALS and is currently on hospice. She is mentally sharp and able to communicate, but due to her condition she communicates verbally at times and primarily uses a whiteboard. She has significant physical weakness and limited mobility. She can stand with assistance but has difficulty moving her legs and maintaining balance, so she requires supervision and light help with repositioning and basic needs. We are not looking for heavy medical care. The primary need is for a steady, dependable presence during the day to: - sit with her - assist with small tasks (water, meals, phone, etc.) - provide general supervision for safety - communicate patiently and effectively using her preferred methods - help with light household tasks (laundry, light cleaning, tidying) - alert us if anything changes Schedule: - Approximately 6 hours per day - Ideally from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (negotiable) Important notes: - No heavy lifting or solo transfers required - She will typically be positioned comfortably before the shift begins - Calm, patient, and attentive personality is very important We are looking for someone dependable, punctual, and comfortable working with someone with ALS. In search of a punctual, enthusiastic, and trustworthy caregiver to take care of Female Partner, located near Columbia, SC. support is needed 4 days per week in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Ideally 5 hours per week of None would start February 02, 2026. The activities of daily living performed by the caregiver will include bathing, dressing & grooming, toileting, and transferring & mobility.
