We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregiver to join a small caregiving team supporting my 69-year-old mother, who is receiving hospice care at home in West Seattle. This position focuses on helping my mom start her day comfortably and safely while allowing her primary family caregiver to get much-needed rest. We are looking for someone who is dependable, kind, observant, and comfortable providing hands-on care in a hospice setting. Schedule: * Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM * Wednesday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM * Friday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM Approximately 16 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours as care needs evolve. Responsibilities may include: * Assisting with morning wake-up routine * Administering and documenting medications as directed * Preparing breakfast and encouraging hydration * Toileting assistance * Dressing, grooming, and personal care * Mobility and transfer assistance * Monitoring and reporting changes in condition * Providing companionship and emotional support * Light housekeeping related to the morning routine * Laundry, dishes, and household support as time allows * Helping create a calm, comfortable, and dignified environment Ideal Candidate: * Certified caregiver (HCA, CNA, or equivalent preferred) * Experience with hospice, palliative care, dementia care, or end-of-life care preferred * Comfortable administering medications * Experienced with toileting, transfers, and mobility assistance * Dependable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts * Observant and able to communicate changes in condition * Warm, patient, and compassionate * Interested in building a consistent relationship with both my mother and our family
