It started when my mom mother got a stroke back in Jamaica in 1994, and I was only sixteen at the time and had to help care for her. I had to change her diaper, give her bed bath acompany her to doctors appointment and so on,after that experience I decided to go into the Health field where I can be of value to others. Being a caregiver give me a sence of joy knowing I am doing something to make someone else life a little more comfortable. And doing little things to help someone feel like they are not alone and there is always someone to help. Knowing at the end of the day after helping someone they are satisfied and their family as well are, and life for them is a little less stressfull is a personal achievement I am proud of. I am very passionate about what I do, taking care of the elderly is my ultimate goal no matter what job I am on, always willing to try new thing take correction with a smile. Always on time for work very hard working easy to work and ge a long with others.

My interest in caregiving started at an early age. Every sunday after church I would visit the sick and shut in members and others who requested prayers. I then attended a Medical Specialty High School and was involved in volunteering at local Adult Day Cares. When I was about 15 years of age my grandmother started developing Dementia and shortly after had a stroke. I became her main caregiver; cooking, cleaning, reading to her when not in school. I love the fact that I get to make a difference in someones day to day life. I tried many different ventures and always ends back into caregiving. This is what I'm meant to do and I'm good at it and enjoy doing it.
