I have a huge heart, I am passionate and I am driven. I am a very very active individual and eager to constantly learn. When it comes time to caring for someone, I give them my all. Not only am I physically there, but emotionally and mentally. I love to get whom I care for involved! Being active, I want to see them as active as possible! Do they like to garden? Or maybe we can learn to cook something new! Mobility is very important no matter the age! I am very patient. Not much bothers me and with my previous work experience, working with physicians, I take many things with a grain of salt. I am currently a nursing student! I have my BLS/CPR and CNA certifications. I am very knowledgeable when it comes time to ADL (activities of daily living) and I know the extent to working with someone that has terminal illness to dementia. I am a very loving person.. I care so much about anything and everyone. If you were to place me with your family member, you would not regret it and you can guarantee they are in the best hands possible, safe and sound and will be HAPPY! :)

Short term care facility for rehab patients currently recovering from: hip/knee/shoulder replacements, dementia, cancer, stroke, heart attack, car accidents. I assisted the Admissions Director bringing in patients to the facility and explaining to the patient and their family what to expect the first 72 hours! I inspected all rooms for necessary care items before patients were placed in the room. I gave tours to the facility to family members placing their loved ones with us. I also assisted in the nutrition services. I visited each patient and discussed nutrition needs and monitored eating habits of each patient!

I'm not sure what led me to start my first job at Heartland Residential Care but that was were I found my nact and love as far as a job. U found it so rewarding to be able to help someone whom without me couldn't do it themselves. But in 2010 I got breast cancer.
