I became a Caregiver over 14 years ago as I gave time and energy to a stroke victim, a brilliant man who had unfortunately had a stroke and left an elder wife to care for as well. I enjoyed this position as his wife still worked but could not be at home with him, he loved baseball and Martial Arts movies, a joy to work with. I later began work with an MRDD population, four gentleman who could only perform basic functions for themselves, two were ambulatory two were wheelchair users. In this job I worked for three years as the home's caseworker in that capacity I improved the diets and health of my clients as well as assisted their ability to have greater entertainment and outings. I am currently studying theology in an online school, so I am a spiritual but not overly religious man, I have high ethical values and believe all people should be treated with respect. This has to be done without regard to ethnicity or gender.
