Hello, I'm Toronda Petties this is a little about myself that i want you to feel at ease. Ok I think I broke the ice, I was born in Thomasville Ga. I'm the oldest of four boys so the only girl I also come from a big family on both side so i have alot of love an compassion an patients for people even if their family. I'm also a military brat so i can adapt pretty much anything u throw at me. I love to go to church, cook, play board games, travel, movies, shoot pool, darts, paintballs tag etc. I have a great personality a sense of humor very humble, respectful, well grounded, down to earth ,very attentive, caring loyal, an loving. So I hope this is a little about me. Here a little history about my caregiving passion came from my grandmother an grandfather they taught me the life of loving other people so i use to go in help the church members when they were sick an needed food or cook an yes i was cooking a full meal at the age of 12. So when I became of age to work my first one was a retirement home because i knew what to do plus i had knowledge of what to expect from them. Then one day reality hit home my grandmother was diagnose with dementia this was the first time I didn't know what to do. So i stop working to care for her until her final days. So now I gave myself time to heal because I didn't know if i still wanted to care for others so I went on a spiritual retreat to clear my head an I thought to myself finish what you started an started working at Southern Pines another retirement home and i got back into the groove for 3 yrs. an I left that job. Two weeks later i got a phone call on the other end was a resident family that ask me would I come care for their father private duty so i took on that job and I loved it so this is what passion and dedication means to me someone else also seen greatness in me a positive attitude.
