What makes me a great caregiver is that I love people and people love me from the very first meet and greet. I am a caretaker by nature. My family on both sides are in the medical field so by blood and naturally I have inherited the trait. The thing I love about care giving is giving back. I, myself, feels that the cycle of life is real. You give and then you shall receive seven fold. I respect and love myself and naturally I am going to respect and I truly love people. I love taking care of others as best I can. I end my day with the greatest smile and sense of accomplishment because I have done my best and put my best foot forward and also knowing that it will have to be a true ACE to fill my shoes after me. My greatest accomplishment was my most current patient whom she is to be not mentioned by name but is immobile to a certain point and has a mentality of a 5 year old. When I first met her she was maybe at a weight of 75 and completely unable to do for herself. During the time she was with me, her weight picked up greatly and healthy, even though it was said that she would not be able to use her right arm, with me she began mobility of that arm and grasping objects, she began to walk better and her stability regain drastically because daily I completely and followed through with exercise and outside activities, her speech became so much better because I encouraged her to use her words and daily and did not skip a day of letters, words, and enunciation. I completely am a caregiver by nature and I put my heart into my work. That when I feel I have done my best and top due diligence.
