I think I am a great care giver because its a passion of mine to help and seeing the smile on my patients face makes my world brighten. My grandmother had open heart surgery and I was terrified as I was close to her, her wound got infected and had to have a secondary surgery to correct the infection. In that time I learned how to give bed bathes, packing wounds and managing her medications for diabetes and antibiotics and blood pressure. I lived with her for a year until she was able to do things on her own. Along with all the surgeries came dementia and Alzheimer's.
