I am in my late fifties and am an Army Veteran . It makes me reliable. I enjoy the the flexibility in scheduling as a Professional Caregiver. I am also the Dad of a teenage daughter, I am quite proud of that. I have experience caring for a close family member with Alzheimer's and Dementia. My skills set include changing incontinence undergarments, assisting the Care Recipient with getting dressed, grooming and body cleaning. Lifting the Care Recipient out of bed without a Hoyer Lift and placing into a wheelchair. Feeding the Care Recipient, assisting the Care Recipient with walking with the aid of a walker and safety belt. Playing assorted games with Care Recipient to keep them engaged. I am also an experienced Cook and Housekeeper. At this time I am only taking on new Care Recipients from the East Bay.

I'm very alert when providing care and needs to my client.Patience,Compassion,Attentiveness,Trustworthiness is the key to be a good Caregiver.I am proud to say that every client i have had a great care because i am giving them something to look for like having a good life and how to enjoy living in a daily basis.

What attracted me to be a caregiver was seeing my kind hearted mom help the elderly as a CNA. She does it with so much joy and that has inspired me. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can get to know my patient and their story and inherit their life experience, stories, and wisdom. A personal achievement that I am proud of is when my patient and I formed a wonderful bond. My patient felt like a grandfather to me, and until his passing we enjoyed life together. I'm a very kind personality and down to earth, have soft voices and loving person, I'started taking care my parent for 10 yrs around 2000 until they both passed in2010 then i decided to reach out to other elderly and families who need help with their parents and loved one.

I am from the island so I grew up caring for my grandparents and younger siblings. So it's what I have been doing and use to doing now that I am an adult I do still help to care for my parents grandparents and also my own kids it's in me I do have patience and I love caring for anyone that needs the help just makes me feel good knowing they need my help. I started working caregiver when my mom and aunties would need a reliver someone to cover for there private caregiver jobs so I would fill in for hours or a day or even live in for few days as we all know it's a hard thing to do dedicating ur time and help when u have ur own families so it does take a village like they say u can't do it alone. Than I got my own private caregiver job I started working only weekends live this client had a colostomy bag also dementia and Alzheimer's so she really need the care around the clock I would help with her meals medication reminders also driving her to appointments and doing groceries for her and light house keeping I worked for this one client for 14 years straight it went from only weekends adding the week nights to the whole 24 hour 7 days a week. I would get my mom and cousins to relieve me when I would go on vacation or have time off but I was the main caregiver. I do still keep in contact with the family for reference cause it's hard to find private caregiver jobs.

I am a very responsible worker, very puntual, very honest, and caring with the patients and family members, I have 18 years of experience on all fields, i also work w/Alzheimer clients or dementia, do vital signs,medication reminders, pamper change, showering the client, cooking, walking, light cleaning, I can use a hoyer lift, medication reminders and also how to communicate with clients family members
