I am a calm and down to earth person that enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. I like to mountain bike around Salida and hike the Rocky Mountains with my dog. I am very fortunate to have love in my life with a wonderful boyfriend of seven months. We were friends for a year before we dated and it's nice to have that love in my life. That being said I like to extend the love that I receive and be there for anyone in need. I enjoy all sorts of activities such as puzzles, card games, listening to music and hiking/walking outdoors. I enjoy cooking and cleaning and I absolutely love pets! Something I'm very proud of is that I've traveled very often throughout my life. I am only 31 years old but I am fortunate to have traveled all over Europe including to London and Paris. I have also been to Jamaica a couple of times and Mexico. I believe that experiencing different cultures is a wonderful way to expand knowledge and to understand what other lives are like other than my own. I look forward to being in touch! Hello! I am Melissa. I started taking care of people in general at a super young age.Along with my love of animals! Helping. Nurturing. Assisting.making people smile and laugh. Making them feel safe and secure in my presence. Though I currently am not 1st sure and CPR certified I have been taking g these classes over 30 yrs.I worked with the mentally and physically disabled for 30yrs. I am very experienced with many metal and physical disabilities from bi polar. Dementia. Alzheimers. Autistic. stroke. Diabetics. Deaf. blind. G tube. And more thank u. Taking the time to read.

My chosen career was to be a teacher for students with special needs. Now that I am retired after 40 years of teaching, I am enjoying using my skills to assist individuals with their unique needs.

I began my journey of helping others 18 years old when I acquired a license in personal training with a focus on corrective exercise. My college years in kinesiology enhanced my empathy when I spent 100 hours interning at an in-patient rehabilitation facility where the focused population were those who sufferedTBI, joint replacement and neurological disorders. Later, through my honor society, the volunteer time I chose was split between tutoring STEM to 8th grade students in underprivileged communities (Austin Partners in Education) and organizing games and activities at an adult day care (AGE of Central Texas) where families took their loved ones who needed a little extra help dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's while they were at work during the day. Simultaneously juggling these humbling populations - those tryin to find self identity and those trying to maintain their sense of self identity really helped balance my own ego, instilling a life long humility and a sense of being a servant leader to those around me. I finished my studies at Texas State University with a major in Exercise Physiology and a minor in math. Since then I have continued to serve others where I have honed my skills in helping those achieve better quality of life through functional movement creating individualized programs combining clinical massage and corrective exercise. To conclude, I am a well rounded, loving and caring person who enjoys helping others find balance their quality of life with the aught most attention to safety in application.

I feel I'm an up beat, positive person. I am very kind & caring naturally, it's just who I am & what I do. Doesn't matter if I'm working or not. I love helping people just in general being able to build friendships & making peoples life a little easier daily makes me happy. I feel am very lucky to be able to wake up & help make a persons day a little happier just by being there for them and helping them out. One of my favorite parts of caregiving is getting to meet all the different types of people & hear their different life stories. My greatest accomplishments I'm most proud of in life would be my 2 amazing kids.

I am a positive and extremely hard-working caregiver. I have been live-out care taking for several years and am currently live-in care taking part time for a close relative. I enjoy assisting others to feel secure and happy in their daily lives, most especially when that would not be possible without care. I see personally the difference caregiving can make in an individual's mental and physical well-being every day and am determined to share this with more individuals in need.

I have always loved taking care of people I took care of my grandmother after my grandfather passed away. My passion is to help others. I have been a caregiver for over 15 to 20 years. I love what I do. I am a very caring and passionate person, I am very easy to get along with.
