I am a open minded, emphatic, and understanding individual who is reliable. I have worked in child welfare. When I left the career, I brought one of my clients home to provide him with daily living services until he graduated high school and went off to college. I was a behavioral health case manager for individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. I assisted them 8n the areas of housing, finances, mental health, chemical dependency and social supports. During my college years, I worked as a caregiver for Home Instead. The agency allowed our Senior Clients to remain in their home while in recovery or simply struggling with various psychological and or physical disabilities. I love most to help individuals in what area they may need assistance in. A personal achievement I am most proud of is gaining a B.A. while being a single parent.

Hello! I am Melissa. I started taking care of people in general at a super young age.Along with my love of animals! Helping. Nurturing. Assisting.making people smile and laugh. Though I currently am not 1st sure and CPR certified I have been taking g these classes over 30 yrs.I worked with the mentally and physically disabled for 30yrs. I really enjoy helping and taking care of people, and I get a long with everyone, I'm super nice, and I don't let much get to me. I have 2 kids, one is a girl she is 12, and a boy he is 7. I helped take care of my dad he is a paraplegic I helped with physical therapy, feeding him, giving him a drink when he needed it, and helped mom with whatever she needed. My Aunt she had diabetes had some skin cut out I helped her through that, and my cousin he had a colostomy bag and helped his mom and him through that. I learn very quickly, especially when it's hands on,

I have a wonderful personality and enjoy spending time with you and getting you the proper care. I started young with great grandma's being sick and never stopped caring for people. I am just a proud mom of two boys making it day by day.

I'm really great with my clients. I make sure they are taken care of and have what they need every time I'm with them and before I leave I always ask them if there is anything else they need before I leave.

I feel I'm an up beat, positive person. I am very kind & caring naturally, it's just who I am & what I do. Doesn't matter if I'm working or not. I love helping people just in general being able to build friendships & making peoples life a little easier daily makes me happy. I feel am very lucky to be able to wake up & help make a persons day a little happier just by being there for them and helping them out. One of my favorite parts of caregiving is getting to meet all the different types of people & hear their different life stories. My greatest accomplishments I'm most proud of in life would be my 2 amazing kids.
