I am Joshlyn. I have been a private caretaker for several years. I have assisted patients with all aspects of daily care, including dressing/undressing, checking vital signs, bathing, personal hygiene, transferring to and from bed, skin care and various other duties. I have administered oral and IV medication as prescribed by an attending physician on a daily basis. I have maintained records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems, in order to report and discuss observations with family members and physicians. I accompany clients to doctors' offices and on other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship. I maintained sterile fields, application of dressings to a stage 4 decubitus ulcer. I assisted patients with basic activities of daily living, including changing of bed linens, washing laundry, preparing nutritious meals and doing basic housekeeping. My love and passion is in direct patient care (one-on-one). I'm amazing in what I do.

Being a caregiver/hha for 18 years has helped me in so many ways. I have worked in assisting living, memory care, private duty, and nursing home facilities. It gave me the opportunity to help those who couldn't help themselves. Being a caregiver is such an honor- it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. I am inclined to the service to others and I like professions where I have the possibility of interacting with others, I am a migrant I come from Argentina, I chose this profession because I consider it very humanistic and it gives me the opportunity to accompany and help in difficult moments, It is also a profession that teaches you to be humble and value life, to help anyone to maintain their dignity and self-esteem is something great for me. I have my criminal record card ready. I speak Spanish, Italian and my English is basic but I have no problems communicating.
