Responsible for a plethora of duties ranging from scheduling appointments for medical care, ensuring attendance to extra-curricular activities, and aiding in the completion of household errands and maintenance of both properties.I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I can have one-on-one interaction with others putting a smile on there face knowing I have achieve a goal of happiness, love, and trustworthy. I am one of the most empathetic caregivers you will meet. I first became a caregiver in 2002 as an STNA with extensive training. I enjoy being able to help with ADLs , but still allowing the client/resident/patient to be as independent as possible. I enjoy helping to increase client's/resident's/patient's will to live. I will/have alway respect the client's/resident's/patient's rights and adhere to all HIPPA laws. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is the time I changed a resident's entire temperament towards the staff by simply showing him that I actually care. He was a combative dementia patient. Being a hair stylist, I would cut his hair and line him up. The constant compliments received from the staff and residents boosted his confidence and definitely increased his will to live. Although, that was many years ago the thought of it still warms my heart.
