I have been providing care to individuals in my community for over 22 years. I feel blessed to have been able to provide care to individuals with care until their last moment on earth. Each person has made a large impact on my life. Some families have been my family for many years because of the connection of the person I provided care for. I been working in home health aid for few years . Always had the heart and desire to care for the sick and elderly. I like going the extra mile to make someone smile, being able to help and assist them when they can't do for themselves. I'm a compassionate, very conscientious, dedicated, patient and professional caregiver, home health aid, and CNA with excellent work ethics. I pay attention to details, and provide peace of mind to families knowing that their loved ones are in good hands. Highly sought out, and requested by the same clients. When I worked for EHM Senior Solutions, all of my long-term clients would rather not have anyone else come in from the company when I was not available. With all of my clients that needed 24 hour care and had several caregivers, I was the only one asked to stay on assignment when they no longer needed 24 hour care. Lastly, I had a client that was put in Hospice Care and was given 3 days to live. After 1 month of starting the assignment, my client graduated from Hospice, and lived for another 2 years. He lived to be 100yrs old.

Hello my name is Manica Leon and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 15+years. I love and enjoy taking care of people. The people I care for often times become more than just a patient, they become famliy. I also took care of my paralyzed mother for three years after an awful stroke. Being a Certified Nursing assistant is a rewarding and humbling field for me. I always try to encourage my patients to never give up and know that things could be way worst. I give them a positive outlook on the life they currently have and that they are loved. I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.

I love working with elderly people I love taking care at home so they dont have to go to the negative nursing home.
