Hello My name is Deidra Richardson and I have been in the home health field for over 7 years. I am very passionate and dedicated to the work I do. My grandmothers inspire me to care for individuals that can't for themselves. I enjoy helping the individual reach their specific goal for their day to day needs. I am happy to see individuals smile and getting the help that's needed.

I am a very loving and people person . I decided to become a caregiver when I started working at a care center in Hiawatha Iowa as a Dietary Aide . I decided that I wanted to work with the residents instead of serving them . I found a job shortly as being a resident aide at Mayvil assistive living , I didn't have to be certified. I then began to wonder what was the difference in being certified or not ... I started to look into classes to become a certified nurse assistant, I was determined to get my certification. So I took off a month of work to go to school . Believer it or not I loved it , when I finnished school I got at westridge care center , I loved my residents but I decided to return home to my hometown. I would like to get into some home health care ! I enjoy waking up everyday and being the first person my resident interacts with for the day , I smile definitely starts the day off . I also love to be able to tuck my residents in at night !

Hello! My name is Karla! I am currently a nursing student at Kirkwood and I am looking for part time jobs to help me gain experience while I am in school. I have worked for 3 years at a local hospital as a patient care tech/CNA. I have a variety of experience such as Assisted Living, Dementia/Alzheimer care, in-home care, and respite care. What makes me great caregiver is my patients, empathy and compassion. I understand that slowing down is a process of aging. Allow elderly to move at their own pace without making them feel like they are being rushed provides them with the sense of independence. I do care about their concerns and frustrations due to their life changes. I am dependable and I understand the importance of being on time and prepared to preform schedule duties. I am positive and happy person who enjoys helping others and love to make others smile! :)
