Given a hand in any situation is a plus for me it makes me feel good as a daughter, mother, family members and wife I started out as a single Mothers over 20 years and I was encouraged to attend the nursing assistant course due to my personality and I never looked back, I also worked in Transportation for Pace paratransit and I encouraged and helped most of my clients to sign up for the services. I decided with the Experience I have in Health and Transportation I wanted to get my own Clients in the DuPage County area

I have over 10 years of caregiver experience. I started off as a caregiver to make extra money then I fell in love with the job and the people I care for. Now I'm a full-time caregiver going to school to open my very own elderly day center.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very compassionate, i pay close attention to the client needs, I am very proud to say that i have been working as a caregiver for the last 7 years, which makes me a good person, i am concern for the well being of the seniors. I am bilingual, also very friendly i am easy to adjust to the client plan of care.

Out of 6 siblings, I was the only one taking care of my Mom with the assistance of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and now in the university pursuing her masters degree in public health here in the U.S. I feel so much comfortable taking of people either young or old. It is my joy to contribute positively to general care of elderly people. I personally relate very well with my client and their families, that most of them treat me like members of their families. I still have contact with most of the families I have worked for. They sometimes take me out for my birthdays celebrations , some calls on my birthdays, some sends messages on my birthdays. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.

Clients realize I'm their priority I'm there to help with DAL's while allowing them to be in charge. After my assistance with bathing and grooming the client easily picks out clothing for the day ahead. I prepare meals and remind clients to take medication if needed. I make sure a nutritious breakfast is served . They love reminders of family. Viewing family pictures and things in their home that makes it a home again. Clients love when we go for walks to get exercise rather in a wheel chair or walker. Range of motion exercises helps keep the body moving and agile. I'm just their to make them sure of themselves again.

Growing up, I had a sick mother who has always been under medical care and it is since then I had an opportunity to be in contact with doctors and learn much about the healthcare field. I graduated with a nursing diploma over 20 years ago, and have been taking care of a wide arrange of senior citizens for 11 years in Chicagoland area. My most experience is live-in and live-out senior care of elderly with diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. I am dependable and flexible provider of physical and emotional care to the elderly. I've been a caregiver for over 20 plus years. I've performed private duty as well as live in homecare serviced. Overnight Memory Care Wound care Alzheimer's Dementia Cerebral palsy including Hospice care, Medication reminder s, feeding G-tube with medications and liquid food Maintenance is just to name a few. Such duties also performed included completing laundry errands cooking house cleaning transfer from the bed to the wheelchair shower bed bath grooming. Companionship combined with hospice, and cancer respite care.
