What attracted me to being a caregiver is that the pase is a little slower compared to nursing home. Hi my names Kelsey I have 1 year of caregiving experience. I love being a caregiver because the thought of being able to help someone family/loved ones with their basic needs, makes me happy. I take my jobs very serious and treat all my patients as if that were my mom or dad in the situation. Care giving is not always easy but I'm always willing to do what I can.

Something I've always took pride in is how caring I am towards people. I have always been empathetic and really dive in to conversations with people too get to know them. I am compassionate. I have always been a team player but I also believe in being a leader. I've put a lot of thought into being a healthcare worker, because it is not an easy job. But I've also thought about how many people need help in being cared for. I love the job that I do. I believe the most personal achievement I am proud of is getting so close to my patients. I've connected with a lot of people. I remember I had a patient that I took care of for almost a year and I really connected with her. After some time she got really sick and was soon going to pass. I met her family and asked them if I could sing to her and they let me ( I sang to her a lot). Little did I know that they were not going to be able to have a service for her. When we were done singing and praising they all just cried and thanked me. They told me that they weren't going to be able to have service and it was as if God brought the service through me as a vessel. I believe that was my greatest accomplishment in this job.

I use to work with mentally disabled and I loved taking care of other people. Helping others that can't do things themselves makes me happy. I enjoy putting smiles on other people's faces. Being part of something that is meaningful.
