I have been a C.N.A for over 20 yrs.Have work in a hospital nursing home and hospice care. I have also worked with elementary school. What I love about my job is the patients and family's and the care I am able to provide. I am a very cheerful and happy person I am told my laugh is contagious.

I became a nurse Assistant because my grandmother had Alzheimer's I needed to understand how I can help I am patient and love people. What I like about being a caregiver is changing peoples lives in a dignified way if makes me happy that I am helping to improve there quality of life. My biggest achievement is my son and education I am open minded people person team player good listener I can cook organize compassionate and always willing to learn new things everyday.

This is what I have a passion for I've been doing this job for the past 20 years, I am a certified nursing assistant. I love taking care of elderly people children and I the experience how to care for hospice patienta, and Alzheimer, Dementia patient Bathing and shower, prepare a meals and Medications Reminder, Transportations, Companionship, feeding and Shopping grocery, Housekeeping house organization,I'm a very responsible person ,friendly, lovely caring person and Trust worthy, and I'm on time ability to do all my job.

When my mother was ill, I was the one she would call to make her scrambled eggs. I took her to the swimming pool and hot tub to get exercise and relaxation. I cut her hair, took her to doctor's appointments and then lunch, and generally gave her some companionship. As I dusted her knickknacks, she told me where each was from. Mom died in 2002. When dad was ailing, some of my family tried to move him into assisted living, but he wanted to stay in his own home. I gave up my apartment and moved in with him, while working in publishing during the day. We had a great time together for a year and a half. Just after he died, I lost my job because I had spent too much time with dad. That evening, the daughter of a neighbor I'd assisted over the years called me, asking if I could help her mother. That began years of caregiving in which I have helped people stay in their homes, and enjoy life. I've brought my keyboard and played hymns and popular songs, singing with them and laughing. As a caregiver, I am simply happy to help my people stay in their own familiar setting. I believe the way I interact with them makes them happy. And my cooking makes them extremely happy! I built my cooking experience on my mom's, then learned to cook for fewer than 8 people! I edited three "Taste of the Country" cookbooks, working with a professional dietician who taught me many ways to fit dietary needs while providing tasty food.

I enjoy helping with everyday household affairs, and personal care to someone in need. My very patient, cheerful loving heart will accommodate you requirements. I have been working in this field independent and for agencies since 1999.

I believe I have a special connection with the elderly. I find it easy to talk and relate to them. I chose this field because I have a lot of compassion for people especially the elderly. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I'm very qualified to do my job at a high level of excellence. Im very patient, and stay calm in the midst of crises. I like to also encourage people to think positively. I strongly believe in doing unto others as I would like to be done unto me, and that's my driving force to how I treat others. A personal achievement I'm proud of is I have made my own jerk sauce and is in the process with the help of my children and husband to get it on the market.
