My 13 yrs experience as a caregiver. I enjoy helping elderly/disabled adults to be able to stay independent, healthy and happy. Took care of my parents and friends family that made me have a passion to help others. Realized alot of people are alone, depressed and refuse to seek help. Offered my assistance to Dr. Appts, pick up medication, encourage clients to take meds, eat, do activities, offer companionship, meal prep etc. Desired to help make a difference in other people's lives. I'm friendly, out going, respectful and strive to make a difference in others lives.

1. Why did you become a caregiver? I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2. What do you like about being a caregiver? I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is caring for a client who didn't have any family and couldn't care for herself and becoming a big part of her life. 4. Tell us something about yourself? I am a very hard-working young woman I love being a certified nurses assistant. I love to helping people who aren't able to help themselves as if they would like to. My personality and smile is amazing! I am very well liked. I am told that I give off a very welcoming and warming energy. I am very reliable, really flexible and understanding with things. I have a lot of different experience in different areas. Caring for others and being able to help lift weight off others shoulders, is my passion. I love being able to make someone's day. I am dependant, reliable, compassionate and caring. I have worked with children and adults with varying disabilities and needs. I became interested in being a caregiver at an early age when my parents brought me to their places of work working with adults with varying degrees of cognitive disabilities. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver are getting to know different individuals personally and being able to help in any way possible. I also enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life even if in a small way. A personal achievement that I am proud of is making a connection with a 7 year old boy who came to the school for children with special needs that I was working at that allowed him to start trusting adults enough that he started flourishing in our program.

Been a CNA for 14 years. Ive worked in a few nursing homes. My father has Parkinson's disease and being a cna as long as I have. U learn to deal with all sorts of disability. I'm plan on furthering my education and become a registered nurse.
