Hello! My name is Dani and I am a PhD student at Miami University. I have both a bachelors and masters degree in psychology and currently study behavioral neuroscience. During my undergraduate career I worked in senior care (5 years), and while my current position is rewarding- I truly miss being a caregiver. Being a caregiver allows you to know individuals on a deep and intimate level while helping them and their families transition during a very challenging time. I have a wide range of experience and enjoy learning new things- further, I would consider myself to be very patient, kind and reliable (essential traits for this kind of work!). The challenges of senior care are what makes this work extremely rewarding. I would love to hear from you to discuss how I can help you or your loved ones (please reach out with any questions)!
Skills & Certifications: Alzheimer's Disease, Arthritis, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Cancer Recovery, Home Health Care, Hospice Care, Palliative Care, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Stroke, Neurological Disorders, HIV/AIDS, Dementia, ALS, Renal and Urological Disorders

I am a patient and dedicated caregiver who has been working in home care for over a year. I was also a State Tested Nurses Assistant that worked with dementia and Alzheimer's residents in a long term care facility, which I did for nearly two years. I am comfortable with all aspects of personal care, ADLS, and transferring clients using a gait belt, walker, or wheelchair. I am willing to do most cleaning (even deep cleaning in down times) and I will do any shopping or run any errands you may need. I have no problem transporting clients in my personal car to wherever they need to go. I also do meal prep and will feed clients as needed and give medication reminders. What attracted me to be a caregiver was watching my mom take care of others my whole life and seeing the difference she made in their lives and I've always wanted to follow in her footsteps. I love working as an at home caregiver because I get to focus 100% of my attention and love on one family, verses having 14-20 patients at a facility. I really enjoy getting to know my clients and forming a bond with them! Companionship is such a huge part of this job. I am CPR and first aide certified. I also have a valid drivers license and auto insurance, with a reliable vehicle, can pass a criminal and driving background check and a drug test if requested. I am Covid and flu vaccinated but have no problem wearing a mask if requested. I can also provide references from my current job and long term personal references when requested. I am good with animals in the house and smoking is no issue. I have a very flexible schedule from the hours of 6am-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9am-3 p.m. every other Saturday! Please call or text me at (513)-482-0626 or you can email me at katelynscareer@outlook.com! If I do not answer your call please leave a voicemail and I'll get back to you asap!
