My name is Danna Biggs and I'm 60 years old..I am now a Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant.I live in Evansville Indiana I have been a caretaker for over 20 years I m drawn to it because it's what I love to do.Assisting individuals with tasks as needed makes me feel like I'm a actually making a difference in their quality of life.Ive worked with individuals in their home and I've assisted individuals in a Nursing home and in hospital.Ive assisted the individuals with adls,cooking,cleaning etc and out in community with shopping concerts,to appointments and to work or day program or activity.I also administered medications ,and documented in Mars.I can document on paper or on computer.I worked with Special Needs, sometimes mentally disadvantaged sometimes mentally and physically handicapped or just physically disabled.Im dependable and will work my scheduled hours and even overtime if necessary or as needed.I treat all my clients or individuals with care and respect and dignity.The individuals are safe and in good hands with me.

I've been a caregiver for 5 years started off working at rescare where i worked in group homes supportive living sites and day programs. What i loved most about being a caregiver is the fact i'm able to make someone smile everyday knowing that i play apart in someone's day going better makes my day better. I love taking my clients out into the community i love crafts and doing different activities. I also would help prepare my clients meals which i'd say they love i'm a pretty good cook if i may say so myself. I then left rescare after 3 years worked at easterseals at their day program due to covid i had stopped working there. Then worked at Compass residential where i've worked as a caregiver and a supervisor is my current job now. Id say i'm proud of myself for not giving up some days are harder than other but i continue to keep pushing because i jobs love what i do.

I love what I do! I became a CNA at 19yrs. old, I was young and wanted to help people. I wasn't exactly sure what my requirements were at that time and was very nervous and shy. Lol.. But I guess me starting out in that frame of mind and wanting to prove myself and (not screw up of course).. My heart mended with the opportunity to really make a difference! Not only care for the residents but to make an impression on someone's day. Talk to them, ACTUALLY wash and shower them. Enjoy and make jokes with accidents that happen, let them realize they are still wanted and loved by people and that they r never forgotten.

Hi my name is Heidi. I started working in a group home 20 years ago with disability adults for 2 year's loved it. I left there to go into fast food and was there till my my childrens father came down with ALS. I had to take of him and become his caretaker. For me helping people get the quality and still have their dignity is very important thing for me.

I'm outgoing, I try to laugh as much as I can. My aunt had autism so growing up with her I liked to help out as much as I could. I enjoy being able to make other lives better everyday while being at work. I am personally proud of my accomplishments of working in the state hospital were I also received detailed training in behaviors.
