I've always been a caregiver. My little brother was born when I was 3yrs. Old and I've taken care of him and my mothers other children as well, as well as my own mother. I never minded though I was good at it and it made me feel good. I love being around the elderly. I believe they don't always get the love and respect that they deserve. I am very proud to be a nursing assistant as well as a certified Activity Director. I've also completed some of my LPN classes & I intend to finish the rest of my classes. I am a loving and respectful person. I actually love working in the elderly community. While employed as an Activity Director, I implemented many new & wonderful programs such as; Second Wind Dreams, Ribbons & Rhythms, and Adopt A Heart, Dementia Training for myself and I taught this program to other staff members. I am a hard worker and I am punctual & dependable. I also love what I do.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that , I'm dedicated to treating my client, with the respect, compassion, dignity, loyalty, and honesty that they have earned as my elder . My clients are my first and foremost top priority. All elders should always be treated with kindness, and respect, as if they are my own family. They should always be shown love and attention, which will allow them a certain feeling of comfort letting them know they are very important and needed. One of my favorite's is strolling down memory lane, which is an activity I like to provide my clients with while massaging their hands, & feet. I consider it to be a form of therapy that several of my clients enjoy.

Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion to their client and want let them know that they want to do what they can to help them.what makes me a great caregiver is that I can be counted on to be there. If I say I am going to be there to provide home care everyday I will. I am responsible,and reliable all the time. My achievement that I am proud of is helping out people as much as I could to reach my goal each and everyday.
