What makes me a great caregiver is excellent communication skills, I'm compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. What attracts me to being a caregiver is I'm fulfiled when I see the patients back to their feet. I enjoy assisting patients with their daily activities and what they cannot do by themselves. I decided to pursue nursing care when my grandfather was on the verge of death. We searched for someone who would care for our family in a respectful and caring manner, but we were unable to find one. So, i decided to pursue nursing, which I love, and now I am working as a registered nurse. Currently, I am working in the medsurg department as well as the emergency room. With six years of nursing experience, I have worked with many different types of patients, such as those with G. Tubes , IV medications, wound care management, and those with storks. It is my belief that one of the most enjoyable things about being a care giver is the fact that I get to learn a lot from the elderly. There is always something new to learn from them when you pay close attention and listen to what they have to say.

The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I started home health aide in 2000 and I have excellent letters of recommendation from clients and my past work history. I am dependable, honest, work well under pressure, I enjoy doing activities with my clients, and playing educational games. I have been during home health aide for over thirteen years and currently working with my current client. I am certified in American Heart Association, Licensed in under the DC Board of Nursing in Home Health Aide and also have a certificate in activities assistant.
