I'm an extremely empathetic, caring and compassionate person. I am a caretaker by nature and have always felt that doing such work I was born to do. I grew up taking close care of family members and got great joy from doing so. I feel caretaking gives me incredible purpose and can't imagine doing anything else.

Been a CNA for a long time , worked in a hospital for about 5 years and agency jobs in between. Love working with people and making sure taken care of.

I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I've been in healthcare since I was 16 years old, starting off as a dietary aide and then furthering my career in a long term care facility where I got my CRMA license. Hello everyone, My name is Ashley and I have about 7 years of experience being a caregiver. I provide companionship, housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, hygiene, transfers, meal prep and much more! I enjoy being a caregiver because it's important to me that I help individuals continue to stay as independent as possible so they are able to remain in their homes.

I am a caring person I've been a care giver for about 3 years and my grandmother was a caregiver for over 30 years and taught me all I know besides being a medical assistant and other trainings . But caring for others loved ones brings me so much joy.

Kindness, compassion, and empathy are vital in being a caregiver. I feel that when caring for someone's family member it is important to remember that they too were once young, and spry. They deserve respect and dignity as if they were a family member of my own. I have been a CNA in the past, and spending those extra minutes to do a residents hair, or shave a residents face just the way he likes it is so important in helping them to feel like a person. I care for a close family friend now after my regular work hours because I enjoy spending the time with her and helping her with activities of daily living but also encouraging and supporting her in maintaining the independence that she is able to safely have. A personal achievement that I am proud of is maintaining my CNA licensure while working a full time MA job. I did this so that I could continue to work with residents on weekends when I am able because they truly hold a special place in my heart.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others and giving back. What makes me great caregiver is my compassion and ability to put their needs above my own. I enjoy helping, but I also enjoy the conversations and sense of enjoyment I see from my residents. I'm most proud of my recent accomplishments of enrolling into college at 30 years old, for Mental Health and Human Services. My biggest accomplishment is hands down, my son who just turned 2 years old in May. Without him, I wouldn't have half of the ambition as I do today.
