I choose to be in this Field for many reasons, the Major one is because I have the heart and patients to take care of someone who is struggling. It makes me feel happy when I know there taken care of and still feel valuable to life. I love talking, I'll play cards or watch movies or go out and do activities with my patients. I'll treat them with care and love as if they were a family member of my own. Over the past 6 years I have gained a lot of knowledge working in the medical field so I do come with alot of experiences !

l 've been a caregiver since (1983) when I was trained and certifiied as s a direct care staff for the profoundly mentally handicap for 5 years, than transitioned over to caring for the elderly, recently I just loss a client of over 6yrs. who was 98 years old. I also cared for her daughter who preceeded her in death due to lung cancer. I have 30 years plus experience, if you're looking for someone who's going to give 100% of herself at all times, and whom offers an excellent attendance track record proven, I'm definitely your girl. I am a married 58 year old woman with three grown daughter's and 6 grandchildren of my own with a blended family with three grown children and 3 grandchildren. I have had several clients that I have been assisting for over 20 years. I also took care of my mother and father towards the end of their lives. I am a very compassionate caring individual. I enjoy being able to assist people in need. I have a huge heart and a lot of love to share. There are not enough caring compassionate loving people out there to be with our senior adults. I have taken 16 courses and recieved certificates for all to better myself for the best Adult care services possible. I have also taken care of Hospice clients. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient. I became a caregiver because I truely care for the elderly and others who need the extra help.
