What make me a caregiver is Patience. When you work with someone who needs home care it is important that you are patient and understanding. It helps to sometimes put myself in the other person's shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. Why did I become a caregiver? Is because I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I love being a caregiver to help other people who really need it. I decided to be a caregiver because it's something that I've always been used to my grandmother was blind and had cancer my mother had three strokes she was also diabetic and on dialysis I had a sister that was diabetic and I also take care of my brother now who's completely blind he's also diabetic and on dialysis so this is my nature this is what I know to help and take care of people I feel like that's my calling in life I have empathy and am often told I have a sweet and calming spirit I realize that being disabled can be very frustrating at times so I believe that I have the patience to be able to help clients through those difficult times.
