You have to have the right mentality to be able to be a caregiver..... Heart, compassion, understanding, and most needed patience!! My husband has Parkinson's Disease and seizures on a daily basis. I have learned a lot from him. I've worked with assisted living and have done Private Sitting for many years with many clients. My greatest accomplishments have been my client with Parkinson's Disease. This was even before we knew my husband had it. I was with him for 4 months before he passed. I even did the post mortem care. My second accomplishment has been working with a quadriplegic and learning from her, how to do an in and out Cath!! I'm a pro now!! I truly enjoy this line of work. I love meeting new people!!

I always wanted to be a caregiver. Taking care of people has always been a major thing in my life! My mother and grandmother took care of people since I was small. I grew up seeing new people. Seeing the smile on their face is priceless. Some have no family and I just want to be that caregiver where I want to treat them like their family.
