I've always been one to care for others. My empathetic nature makes its a natural experience. I am a detail oriented person, which I find to be necessary in this field. I decided to get my CNA as a way to exercise my abilities to be a caregiver to others. I have since begun other ventures in life, but still hold a special place in my heart for caregiving

I am a genuinely sincere person who enjoys helping others. I work hard and listen carefully. I am reliable and have a firm understanding of how important reliability is to those expecting you to be there when you say and do what you say. I have worked as a Social Worker in health care for many years and have the ability to assess a home environment and see where the needs are to assist adequately and make helpful recommendations to promote independence. My husband has his own business and I help to manage that business but miss being able to work with others. I think it is fulfilling when you have the ability to assist someone and make their day just a little easier. I enjoy seeing the transformation on an individuals face when you arrive to help with their needs and they seem worn out and discouraged but after you have helped them, listened to what they had to say, and validated them by doing things their way then you see them energized and smiling. That is the most rewarding feeling. I have several personal achievements that I am proud of I went to college and have a Bachelor's degree and did that while raising children, I have helped my granddaughter achieve her goals to go to college and become a nurse, and I have had a successful happy marriage for 31 years now.

What first attracted me to being a caregiver was the fact that my mamaw has done this kind of work her whole life so when I turned 18 I got a job in an assisted living facility and have done home health care off and on ever since. I love being able to know I can help someone on a personal level. It takes a special person to do this kind of work.

I'm very passionate about what I do. I love helping people in their time of need. I'm always consistent when it comes to my clients. Being dependable and reliable is something I proud myself. I choose this field because you never know how you can impact someone life just by a conversation or just being their when they need you the most.

My name is Amanda, I'm a 27 year old wife and mother of 3. I waited until all of my kids were in school to Persue my dreams of helping anyone in need, I just recently became a Cna and am now on the N.C. nurse aide 1 registry. I've been in and out of nursing homes from the time I was very young and I always loved how patient and loving my family members nurse's were but I also got to see some pretty nasty one's who we're only there for the money so from that point on I knew I wanted to be someone who the patients could count on like family.

I have been a caregiver for 28 years. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living, hospitals and in private homes. I love my job. I enjoy knowing that my care and love has helped people and saved people. It is very self satisfying to see someone light up and smile when I come in their room or their homes. I have been told I have a huge heart and I am a very caring and loving person and my experience is very helpful. It fills my heart with joy to know I make a difference in that persons life.
