What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent.
