I am very kind towards everyone I meet, I've never met a stranger. I'm understanding to the needs of the patient and will meet expectations that are required of me as a caregiver. I've always wanted to help people ever since I was little and grew up watching my mother do this job and sometimes I'd go with her and help her when she needed it. The one thing I enjoy the most from being a caregiver is making a difference in someone's life and helping them to get better if they're wheelchair bound and start standing in their own or even just giving them a listening ear. I'm a mom of five beautiful children. I have been working as certified Nursing Assistant for more than 10 years and taking care of people with the everyday life. In life at some point we all need help and we all need someone to take a good care of us. I chose this job because I love taking care of people where I have a one- on-one interaction with others. I am retired, this year, from my 60 hour per week job. I am not use to sitting home and would love to share my time with other individuals. I love to talk, with anyone. I have had 60 minute conversations with the wrong number. I am a dedicated individual whereas I believe I would make an idea care giver. I love knowing I have made someone enjoy what might have been a very lonely or boring day. I laugh a lot with a great sense of humor. My husband and I have been married 40 years and I sincerely believe our sense of humor is what made us the happy couple we are today. My mother was in a nursing home with Parkinson's because she refused to live with any of her daughters. I spent evenings and weekends visiting her when I wasn't out of town. Decorated her room for each holiday and would take her outside for a basket lunch. Once she passed I adopted a little senior lady who had no family. Her Christmas was much merrier cause someone took the time to shower her with gifts and conversation. I have always had a desire to work with seniors and somehow make their life a little brighter. Since I am a senior myself I feel like I understand what is needed and would love to be given the chance to show you.
