Hi! My name is Breonna. I'm originally from Decatur but recently moved to Sheffield al. I've been a caregiver for 3 years. There's nothing I haven't seen. I can't wait to provide care and companionship to your loved ones! I first became a caregiver a year after my grandparents died I was supper close to them. I love the older generations and providing care to them (also listening to them talk about their lives). I love being a listening ear or even a little helper. I am a single mother of one son. I am a certified home health aide! I enjoy working with the elderly people! I sat with my Grandmother and helped take care of her before she passed and after she did, I felt that I needed to continue to carry on this assistance! The need to be needed is what encourages me and makes me want to do these types of jobs! So now i mainly clean homes, run errands, assist with personal care if needed and any thing else that the client may need to be done! I prefer day shift hours between 8am and 3pm!I feel my biggest accomplishment is to be able to continue to work with other elderly families that are having the same needs as my Grandmother did and I try my best to help in anyways possible! I am retired, this year, from my 60 hour per week job. I am not use to sitting home and would love to share my time with other individuals. I love to talk, with anyone. I have had 60 minute conversations with the wrong number. I am a dedicated individual whereas I believe I would make an idea care giver. I love knowing I have made someone enjoy what might have been a very lonely or boring day. I laugh a lot with a great sense of humor. My husband and I have been married 40 years and I sincerely believe our sense of humor is what made us the happy couple we are today. My mother was in a nursing home with Parkinson's because she refused to live with any of her daughters. I spent evenings and weekends visiting her when I wasn't out of town. Decorated her room for each holiday and would take her outside for a basket lunch. Once she passed I adopted a little senior lady who had no family. Her Christmas was much merrier cause someone took the time to shower her with gifts and conversation. I have always had a desire to work with seniors and somehow make their life a little brighter. Since I am a senior myself I feel like I understand what is needed and would love to be given the chance to show you.
