I have been in the home health field for six years going on my seventh year the end of August. I have always have the heart to help others. I started my career and I fell in love instantly. My goal has always been to have professionalism, empathy, competency, and communication skills to work with elder people. What attracted me to be a caregiver is knowing that I could have an impact on someone's life. I always wanted to put a smile on my residents' faces in everything I did for them and I wanted them to know I cared and they had me to count on. In 2019 I was honored with the ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION CAREGIVERS AWARD at Manorhouse assistant Living and I was on the news. I also was on Brookdale Assistant Living Brochures and their Billboard and gave a testimony about being a good Lead caregiver and what our residents meant to me, in 2017. I love helping people! I was a caregiver during all of covid and still doing my care Cooridnator job it was a challenge but rewarding knowing the people really appreciated and welcomed you for help and companionship since they couldn't see their families. I left Michigan to move here to Tennessee to eventually retire with my husband but still have a few caregiving years left.
