I love being a caregiver and taking care of our elders, the people who have given so much to this world. Taking care of people is something you can be proud of. I have experience in cooking, cleaning, transporting to appointments or errands, giving meds, restorative therapy, grooming, transferring, etc. I worked in assisted living for a few years and also I trained in hospital. A few of many traits I have to be a good caregiver is I'm very patient, compassionate, and trustworthy. My grandmother had stage 4 breast cancer , she fought for many years but lost the battle October 20 , 2021 . She was dependent the last 3 years of her life but there wasn't a single day I regret taking care of her . It would be my absolute pleasure being able to care for someone else who may not be able to care for themselves. I love making life as easy as I can for everyone around me . My greatest achievement in life is being the woman and mother my grandmother raised and no matter what obstacles come my way , I keep my faith and overcome them.

Being a caregiver has to come from your heart, bonding with the resident definitely helps, I have a very fun personality, goofy ,I love doing puzzles always a nice activity to enjoy with the resident.

My personality traits that help me to be a great caregiver is being a dependable, reliable, and trustworthy caregiver. My mom attracted me to be a caregiver because she was always bragging about how much she really loved her job so I wanted to have that same feeling about something I love to do. I enjoy making myself, my peers, and elderly ones happy & always knowing that they will have someone like me to always be there to help them.
