Experience caregiver having over 10 years working with various clients. I guess you could say my life could be encapsulated in four simple words faith, family, friends, and helping others! I have worked in Home Health both in nursing homes as well as memory care facilities for over 10 years. I love helping people, I also feel that in some ways this is my ministry even though it is my part-time job. I have experience in memory care, ADL's, transfer assist, gait training, lighthouse keeping, meal prep, companionship, and bathing and grooming, I have dependable transportation and arrive to work on time and don't miss days unless I am ill. I am normally very healthy, and I insist on cleanliness and am constantly washing my hands. I would like to think I am extremely cautious in keeping both myself safe as well as you. I've had extensive training in HIPAA and sanitation. After retiring from Health and Human Services caregiving became my passion. I'm a very conscientious and hard worker and yet I still remain cheerful throughout the day. I also am a Certified Activities Director so I feel like I bring a little more than just caregiving. I believe that seniors need daily activities to stay happy and healthy and if possible to be a part of their day-to-day activities and have a purpose. If the senior is capable and able to water plants or assist with meal prep I encourage that. I have worked as a caregiver in homes, nursing homes and hospice care for over 20+ years. I love helping people and treating people as I would want someone to treat my own loved ones. I understand that getting old is also a form of losing your Independence. I like to let the patients do as much as they can and help them where I am needed.

I have five years prior experience as a CNA and have worked in both a hospital environment and also a handful of Long Term Care facilities. I was a travel CNA my last two years of work so I got to travel many different places locally to help with care in my area! I take great pride in my work as a caregiver and think that every person should be treated like family. About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! And will take care of my patients to the best of my ability.

When I completed high school I went to college not knowing what I wanted to do for a job. I saw that my cousin who has Down Syndrom could not communicate with my family very well as she could not speak. When starting college I took sign language to communicate with my her. This became my joy and I loved helping children and Adults with mental and physical disabilities in their home and in the community. I strive to be able to listen and understand each person's needs and wants with caring and compassion for each person. I have worked with all ages and a range of disabilities including but not limited to, Scoliosis, Down Syndrom, ALS and Alzhelmer's.

I'm a Certified Nurse Aid been in the nursing field for 14yrs I love doing what I do best and this is helping and caring for others as family. Makes me proud and happy to know I can make a difference in someone's life

Hello, My name is Lauralee and I have been a Private Caretaker for 20 + years you name I've done it met some wonderful families who also became my family too I usually stay with families for between 3-5 yrs I like to stick to what I know and I understand it's also hard for the elderly to get in a different routine constantly can be scary so my goal is make someone's day .I enjoy my jobs and people I'm very social and friendly and also love long conversations and hearing stories from the past.. I prep , light house keep , showers , transfers, bed baths , etc.

Care giving has been a part of me for a very long time, from bringing crackers and 7up to my brother when he was sick, caring for my grandparents while in the nursing home. I was raised around some amazing women who have shown me that no matter what in any situation I will always be there for someone in need. Have seen the good and bad in working and visiting facilities. When someone is working just for a paycheck that person is most certainly in the wrong career for healthcare. Yes a paycheck is good there is too much compassion in me to be that way, I get way to attached to my people cannot help that. Our elders deserve to be treated with the upmost respect. I have sat with a client at an assisted living facility for 13 hours, working a double 2pm to 6 am the next morning, 13 of the 16 was talking, singing just being there for that resident made care giving that much more special. What I enjoy the most bringing smiles to each and every person I meet, young or old. If I only see one smile than I know have done a good days work. The most personal achievement I am proud of are my children, without then life would not exist they are my heartbeat and if anything were to happen to either of my children I would lose my absolute mind. I am now becoming an independent contractor with my own business Soul Sisters Hometown Care. I will be mainly private care have wanted to start this for quite some time now so better time as any. I along with my business partner Julie Turner will want to take on clients under this business name.

Since my senior year of high school I knew that I wanted to be in the health field providing care to those in need of an extra lift due to sickness.
