I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

It all stared when I was 13 years old my grandmother had dementia. I hope take care of her during this summer, and came back every weekend to be with her.. I love a challenge. I love people. I've been doing home health care on and off for the last 10 years.

I've been a certified caregiver since 2013. I decided to pursue a career in this field due to the fact that I cared for my grandfather. I'm passionate about what I do. I currently work for an Home Health Agency based in Brazos county but I am available for additional jobs in Walker, Montgomery, Grimes and Brazos county. I have work and volunteer experience with people with ALS, Stroke, Dementia, Mental, Cognitive and Developmental Disabilities and am trained in transfers, strength training, ROM, ADL's, Feeding, Dressing, Bathing and am quite helpful with chores around the house. In addition I have a vehicle with current auto insurance as well as a flawless driving record. Professional abilities: Careful driver, strong work ethic, patient, positive attitude, safety conscious, adaptability, responsible and creative problem solver. Personal interests: working on my property, reading, cooking, writing, TV shows, cards and board games, and I love a good conversation.

Hi, My name is DeDe. I specialize in ALS clients. This experience led me to my true passion. Over the last 7 years I have worked with 10 different families who dealt with ALS. From stage 1-stage 4. Just because you are living with this crazy disease that doesn't mean you can't live a normal life. When I walk into a family's homes. I walk in with a positive attitude with a big smile on my face to ease the pain of all the troubles they are going through right now. I have worked in private homes, group homes, etc. My desire is for excellence, quality and most importantly "LIFE", and to provide individualized care to each of my clients with the utmost dignity and respect. I enjoy the opportunity to impact my clients' lives in a positive way. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives.
