I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. This is my calling and I have enjoyed these last 11 years doing this.

I am so specific on how things need done and I also became an expert unfortunately caring for my mom before she passed. I love getting to know my companion, laughing with them, alleviating any stresses they are having, and letting them know they're safe and taken care of as long as I am there. A personal achievement I am proud of is not only caring for my terminally sick mom, but also somehow maintaining running her business while still always being there for whatever she needed. It was the hardest part of my life, but I was forced to grow up quickly to take care of her the way she had me my whole life. I dropped out of college at Texas Tech and put all my time and energy into her.
