I've been a caregiver for more than 30 years. I care about people and I feel like God has given me a gift. I love to talk so I pretty much can get a patient to try must things that a family member can't get them to to to. I love to read and interact with them if it's just a game cards.

Love working with elderly

I enjoy being a caregiver. It's a very rewarding experience. I love to help out the elderly and make their lives more manageable to complete tasks that they are unable to complete by their selves.

First and foremost you must understand this is just not any job. This is someone's family member. I very much enjoy working with older people they still have much to offer the younger generation. My first visit was with an neighbour. She would let me take out her trash weekly from then on it progressed. Since then I have been in and out the field for 20 years. Became a Medical Assistant was not the same no one on one personal care so I did not stay in the field. Giving the best part of me to my clients.

I'm 27 years old, I'm married and have three children at home. I've been a caregiver for almost a year and a half now and nothing brings me more joy. There is nothing more special than being able to help make sure your loved ones can stay in their home for as long as possible!
