I've been doing this type of career for 28 years and love what I do I also would love to go get my LPN to further my career this fall 2023 then I'll be able to do more an help out more with my clients, then I can now, I wouldn't change my career for anything it what I've wanted to do my whole life and it runs in my family, and I intend to do for rest of my working life, it not a job to me it a career and it like taking care of my own family and love ones, my clients mean everything to me, I'm there for my clients to help them feel safe and comfortable with there ADL and being home, I am proud to have been in my career for over 28 years, an Im proud to add many more years to it, and have my LPN this year 2023, I also have both of my covid-19 shots so I am good to go with the covid-19, I also work with all types of care,

I possess a high level of attention to detail as well as a willingness to do what needs to be done. I always go above and beyond my scope of practice to help my clients achieve the maximum level of independence while acting as a supplement to their abilities. In my opinion, assisting with activities of daily living goes well above and beyond just personal hygiene and meal prep. It means helping the client stay engaged in the community as desired. I've been a caregiver since I was 18 years old. I took care of people with special needs. I started nursing school when I was 20 years old. I graduated when I was 24 years old. I was a nurse for 15 years and then my grandmother got sick and I became her caregiver. I believe a caregiver is there to do anything for the person that they care for. Anything to put a smile on their face. I've taken care of babies with trachs. I've taken care of seniors with dementia. And I've also learned that you take care of the person and the family.

I became a caregiver because I love making people smile and laugh! As a caregiver, I am able to spend one on one time with each client, and structure my time to meet their needs. I have worked as an LNA for over 16 years!! I also, took a phlebeotomy course, worked with clients with trachs, blind and deaf clients, dementia/alth clients, activity asst and a rehab tech also in the past!! My two children are my life!!! when I am not at work we are outdoors enjoying the weather!
