Hello Carelinx my name is Orlandgra, I'm a sweet ,outgoing , weird girl from Jamaica. I'm 20 years old I've been caregiving for 3 years now. I'm a caregiver because I enjoy the time I get to spend with my residents, because it feels close to home(grandmas girl).

I have worked in the healthcare most of my life. I became a DSP around 2003-2004 I loved it so much that I went and got my CNA license nursing homes for a few years. But then decided to take time off to take care of my children. Not realizing that I let my CNA license expire. So I went back to the thing that I love my DSP job at Glenbrook in Vienna , where I knew and loved everyone there. But I decided to dip my hand into the cooking career got my certifications and have been doing that ever since. I am energetic and hard-working. I put my everything into what I do and their isn't anything that I can't accomplish when I put my mind to it . Cook DSP, CNA , mother , bestfriend, daughter I've pretty much live the life of a caregiver this is my life and I love every min I will continue to do for as long as I can. One day I will like to become a RN and help sick children and start my own business doing that I've been doing this type of work for 5 years I have worked with clients that have Artistic Down syndrome dementia and I use to work at a assistant living/memory care facility and I feel I will be prefect for the job

13 years of experience I Healthcare started working with my grandmother she was paralyzed from the waste down it was my first time helping my great aunt take care of her I was about 7 then as I got older I started working around a cbrf home and ever since then caring for people has been my passion

i am a responsible loving person i love to help the ederly, communicate with them. i helped taking my grandpa for 6months and loved being able to give a hand out knowing he can't help himself out. I enjoy being able to help the ederly out and being able to provide for them because they can't on their own, i am proud of being able to provide and do the best i could for them.

What makes me a great caregiver is that im in it and there for them. I got a big kind loving heart and enjoy spending quality time with them. I like to make them feel as their quality of life still has a meaning and just cause their age my prevent them from doing things as they did before it doesnt mean that that there life has stopped or aging has to be a sad time in their life and that it should be the best and most enjoyable time in their life. I come from a family of different ranking nurses with big hearts and know from the age of 8 that, that was my calling in life when my grandmother who also became my only mother i knew fell ill of leukemia which took her from me very fast and who i soon fell to caring for getting needles and shots and other such things to prolong her life i wanted and learned how to do this. The ongoing process of many hospitals everyday after school i lost what most kids had but to me it was worth every last miniute being able to spend them with her. To me this is my way of keeping her alive knowing that helping them and having understanding of them listening and laughing to me if i can do that then i make their lives that much better
