I have 18+ years experience as a LNA/ CNA/MA/Housekeeper. I am CPR/BLS and First Aid certified. I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Homecare and Hospice. A majority of my clients have been diagnosed with Dementia. I have alot of extended learning learning hours with Alzheimer's. I absolutely love working with seniors. I can't imagine doing anything else in this life. I have been out on my own for, five years now, I love the one on one contact of homecare. Integrity is the word I use to describe myself. I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. Because I am honest and dependable, the work continues to flow. I usually work within the same family for a very long time. I was an obstetrical nurse in my country and worked as a physician assistant for almost 8 years. On my days off, I would help unfortunate elderly people that needs care for free. I immigrated to the US in 2006. My passion is caregiving, so I took nursing assistant course to enhance my skills. I worked in the hospital, took care people with disabilities and as a home health aide in Hawaii for 13 years. I'm proud of myself that, I was able to take care of my grandparents who had dementia and my mom who had a stroke. I have skills in Psychology that I could apply to render an excellent care to the person who needs my care and friendship.

I love people. As I've aged I realize my sons need me in their lives for their children. That's humbling to know they might think I have something to pass on to the next generation. Every person has a unique life story. I'd be enriched to know about a family history different than mine but just as interesting. I became a caregiver, because I like to be of service. I have an AA degree in Mental Health and Human Services, and have worked in the field for over 25 years. I started out working Direct care and then went on to provide staff training on how best to serve a variety of individuals. What I love about care-giving is that I am able to use my skills on a one on one bases to improve the quality of life for the customer. One of the things that I am most proud of is that I had a client that everyone told me that she was unable to do anything to help herself, such as eating bathing and communicating her needs. When I worked with her in 6 moths she was able to feed herself and she was able to communicate her needs to me as well as others. Love, respect and honor moves mountains. I perform a variety of daily tasks including house cleaning, laundry, medication preparation and administration, meal preparation and cleanup, companionship, and any additional needs specific to my client. I worked for 7 years in an active-living care facility as night security helping active seniors who needed someone available on the evening shift. I had perfect attendance in my 7 years at Town Center Terrrace. I am of the Christian faith. I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, oil painting, knitting, crocheting. and good conversation.
