The most reason I become a Caregiver, because I grow up with my grandma, as part of our culture and custom, living in extended family. I get use to their personal needs and learn a lot from their knowledge and wisdom, which now a days new generation despise their precise deep experience in life. I'm proud to be a caregiver because its in my blood, living together with elderly under one roof. I do respect and adore them.
I worked as a caregiver for more than 15yrs. I can do most of everything like bathing, cleaning, hair done, medication, transferring, use hoyer lift and much more. I took care a wonderful elderly lady she was 113 years young. She passed away on the 29th of July 2015. I believe she is the oldest person in the Monterey Peninsula. I have the most experience from this gorgeous lovely lady.
I have many years experience looking after the elderly and disabled in their homes.
I specialize in those living with Alzheimer's Disease, early onset dementia, Parkinson Disease, as well as keeping elders company with walks, playing scrabble, or other activities.
Families employ me to assist when needing those extra set of hands to help with everyday things to staying with family members that need hands-on care such as bathing, assistance with dressing as well as companionship and running errands.
I own a car with a clean drivers license. I have excellent references. I am a committed, loyal person with sound judgment and high ethics.
I have worked with several local home care agencies that require background checks, fingerprints, and all other necessary documents to work as a certified caregiver in the state of CA.
I have these documents with me.
My pay is dependent on the job description and hours required for the time I am needed.
Let us see if I can be of service to you and your family.
Meherbani My name is Adriana, and I have been working as a caregiver for 10 years, either independently or in a company.I love working as a caregiver because I can provide quality help to my clients from the comfort of their homes. If I can make their life easier and give them happiness on this stage of their lives, than I know I'm doing my work right. After many years of being a mom,I decided to go back to school and I have finish my medical assisting training, and I also took some baking classes at my community college.I still need to to do my internship, meanwhile I need to work,My hobbies are many:Love to read, swim, like to go on hikes and my favorite, spend time with my family. I can provide recommendation letters.I don't work weekends because I'm still taking some classes in college.Only available to work from 9 to 5 on weekdays. I so enjoy helping Seniors--they are treasures! I am a 2X certified caregiver and recently re-certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. I am kind, punctual, and not into phones or TV.
While growing up in Alaska, I adored my grandmother, and in my twenties enjoyed visiting my older neighbors. I attended college for 3 1/2 years, and was a history major with Honors, with a minor in Literature, and with Biology, Anatomy, and Chemistry classes thrown in, as I was considering nursing . I have traveled a bit (on my last trip to Paris I rented an apartment--oh-la-la!), so I enjoy conversing on a wide range of topics. I've worked in public schools, where I ran a after-school program with 50 kids and 7 staff (I loved helping children) and later worked in the offices of two law firms, and for the Department of Defense, helping angry people resolve pay grade issues. Nothing makes me happier than when the Senior client I currently substitute for says, "you are so kind!" I tell her that no, she is. She's 93, sharp as a whip, and has gotten me into reading mystery novels with her and watching Judge Judy then laughing at all the silliness.
For hobbies, I'm learning to paint watercolor. I also sing in a choir and play the flute. I was a homemaker for several years and enjoyed turning a house into a home for my children. I like keeping a house homey for a client as I think there is such value in that. I enjoy doing light housekeeping, cooking the foods they like, and full dressing, toileting, adult diapers, and bathing are no problem. As for night trips to the bathroom, having had light-sleeping kids, I don't mind that at all. I can also do a Senior appropriate exercise program, but I am unable to transport to appointments. I do need Sunday off, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
To reach me, e-mail or texting my phone number is best. I'll e-mail, text or call back (your preference) within 24 hours. Thanks so much!
