I have always been someone who had a heart for others. As a young man that resignated through acts of service, helping others in my neighborhood, through my church, and random people I met along the way. God instilled a gift of caring for my fellow man and he has always placed my in roles where I can use this gift. It wasn't until I was in my 20s where I realized this gift would be well received in the world of medicine and later nursing. I originally thought a career in EMS was where I belonged but it limited my upward mobility and after going through an EMT Basic class I soon realized their were other options available to me. I moved into the hospital environment through a cardiac telemetry position and began learning about inpatient medicine and the many roles nurses play. During my time there I went through a CNA 1 & 2 class and began to realize that nursing was where I would fit in the world of medicine. However, It was my grandmother who cemented the notion in my mind that I would make an amazing nurse. During her last days I was able to spend some time with her; making her conferrable, meeting her needs, caring for her became second nature and I realized in those last moments with her that nursing was where I belong. As you can see I have come full circle in way; starting with the idea that EMS is where I want to be and ending up with a passion for nursing but at an EMS pace in the Emergency Room. I feel at home when I'm working with patients, I look foreword to every shift, and the challenges it provides; because in these challenges I reaffirm my calling to the nursing profession.

Hello, I have been a caregiver for 20+ years. I enjoy working with people and helping them to make their lives easier. I'm compassionate, patient, dedicated, reliable and take pride in my position. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, as well as have knowledge taking vitals (pulse, temperature, respiration and blood pressure). I have worked in Nursing facilities, Assisted Living and Home Care and I would have to say that my favorite part of the job is listening to their life stories and learning from them. I'm a good choice!
