Hi my name is Cheyenne Wood. I've been a caregiver since 2019 and acquired my CNA license in June 2019. I am a 22 year old, female and love being a caregiver there's so much that I have learned and carry with me daily from this job. Compassion, honesty, and reliability are three things I always provide to my client and their families. My work experience was in the administrative professional field. After moving to Texas to be near to family I began a career in caregiving. My Granddaughter is disabled. I was blessed with being able to become employed by the agency entrusted with her care. I also worked for other agencies in the Austin Texas area as a caregiver to the elderly. I find great satisfaction in working with those needing my help as I have a great deal of patience and empathy for those who need assistance.

1. I became a Caregiver when I was a young girl at the age of seven. I helped my great grandmother when she broke her hip at age seventy five. I helped her with physical therapy, medication, and meeting her many needs. Later on when I was flying for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant, my grandmother was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Every chance I had when I was not flying, I would help take care of all her needs. She lived for a few more years after the diagnosis, and it meant so much to me to be there for her during this time. 2. I love giving and doing for others by caring for them doing their time of need. It makes me feel like a true Christian to care for others in this way. It affects my inner soul that I am indeed doing God's work in this regard. I really love caring for others and I prove that every day with my friends and family. 3. I am proud that I have been married for almost twenty five years and have two wonderful children. It takes a lot of sacrifice, hard work, and understanding to have a great marriage and raise your children the right way. I love being a wife, mother, and the best Caregiver to them I can be. 4. As mentioned above, I am married with two beautiful children. I worked for Delta Airlines for thirteen years and taught preschoolers part time at a Church School for another fifteen years. I have over 6 years of caregiving experience. I have worked in various places like Hospitals, Nursing homes and in home care. From 1999 to 2005 I was a Certified Nursing Assistant and went to a 2 year college to get my Associates degree in nursing, however due to hardships I did not finish and get my degree. I took a break from nursing for over 10 years to pursue a different career in retail Management. I just recently within the past year decided to get back into care giving/nursing.
